If a book is not in its specified location, you may complete a "Book Search" form at the corresponding library's Circulation (Checkout) Desk. Once you submit this form, library staff will search for the book and notify you when it is found so you can pick it up.
If the book is not found, you can place an interlibrary loan request for the book and it will be shipped to you from another library. Access the interlibrary loan form at: https://fiu.illiad.oclc.org/illiad/logon.html. (Interlibrary loan is a free service to FIU faculty, staff, and students, but you will need to create an account.) You could also use the statewide UBorrow service, when available, to request the book. Search the UBorrow catalog at: https://union.discover.flvc.org/. Request the book by clicking on the "UBorrow" icon in the corresponding search result and entering your FIU credentials.
