There is never a charge for checking out books and other circulating materials from the FIU Libraries.  Students and faculty only need to present their FIU ID Card.  If you are not an FIU student, alumni, or faculty, you may join the library for $50/year which gives the priviledge of checking out a maximum of 10 books at a time.  However, if the book is returned late, overdue fines do apply.  Please see the Circulation and Borrowing Policies for more information.
