Yes. At the Green Library, the "group" study rooms on the fifth floor with 2 seats can be used for individual study. All other study rooms require two students' FIU IDs for use. At the Hubert Library, group study rooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors. To reserve a study room for up to a 3-hour block, use the online tool below for Room Reservations & Calendars.
The Hubert Library also has several individual study rooms located on the 3rd floor that are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If these rooms are not locked, they are available for use.
In addition, the 3rd, 6th, and 7th floors of the Green Library (MMC) and the 3rd floor of the Hubert Library (BBC) are silent floors designed to facilitate individual study and reading.
Furthermore, a limited number of Student Carrels are available for graduate students on a first-come, first-served basis. Carrels are provided for the length of one semester. For more information and to apply for a Student Carrel, view the Carrel Request Form on our website.
