For FIU students/faculty/staff, there is never a charge for checking out books and other circulating materials from the FIU Libraries, so you don't have to rent them them, you can just borrow them!  Students and faculty only need to present their FIU ID Card.  If you are not an FIU student, alumni, or faculty, you may join the library for $50/year which gives the priviledge of checking out a maximum of 10 books at a time.  However, if the book is returned late, overdue fines do apply.  Our Circulation & Borrowing Policies page has more detailed information.

Use the Library Catalog to search for books (and other materials) by author, title, subject, ISBN, or keyword: http://fiu.catalog.fcla.edu

To check out the material once you've located it, just take it to the Circulation/Check-Out Desk.
