Books at the FIU Libraries are available on a first-come, first-served basis to ensure equitable access to all patrons. However, if you have already pulled books from the shelves, hold services are available on a limited basis:

  • Green Library - books you have pulled off the shelves may be held for up to 48 hours at the Circulation Desk located on the 2nd floor. An FIU OneCard (for FIU affiliates) or a state-issued ID (for visitors) is required. For details, please visit the Circulation Desk or call 305-348-2451.
  • Hubert Library - please visit the Circulation Desk on the 1st floor or call 305-919-5718 to check hold availability for specific items.
