There is no direct way to export in RIS format from Web of Science. However, it is easy to save the references to EndNote online which is integrated into Web of Science and export from there to Covidence.

Here are the steps:

1. Run the search in WoS.

2. Click on Save to EndNote online which is found in the drop-down menu right above the results. This will take several steps depending on the number of results as only 500 references can be saved at a time.

3. Once you have saved all results to EndNote online, click on EndNote in the black bar at the top.

4. In EndNote, click on Format in the dark gray bar at the top, then click on Export References.

5. For References, select All References in My Library; for Export Style, select RefMan (RIS) Export. Save your file.

6. In Covidence, go to Import references.

7. Find the file you just saved and import.

The process does require the extra step, but it is seamless and pretty quick.
