NOTE: In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, current access to the FIU Libraries is limited to members of the FIU community.

Yes, the libraries are open to the public and anybody can visit and use most library resources in the building.

Please note, all Green Library Guests will need to show an FIU OneCard/ID, state-issued ID, or some other form of government identification at the Guest Services Desk in order to access the building. Access to non-FIU affiliated visitors will only be allowed until 9pm on weekdays and 6pm on weekends.

If you are coming to the Biscayne Bay Campus, we recommend you bring your own device for access to the library databases.

Students from Miami-Dade College can also check materials out of the library, as long as the student has an active course load for the current semester.
