Yes, the libraries are open to the public and anybody can visit and use most library resources in the building. 

Please note: all Library Guests will need to show an FIU OneCard/ID, state-issued ID, or some other form of government identification at the Guest Services Desk in order to access the building.


Access for non-FIU affiliated visitors will only be allowed:

  • Mondays - Thursdays: 9am to 9pm
  • Fridays: 9am to 6pm
  • Saturdays: 12pm to 6pm
  • Sundays: 12pm to 9pm

Students from Miami-Dade College can also check materials out of the library, as long as the student has an active course load for the current semester.
