CINAHL, and all FIU Libraries' research databases, can be accessed by following the steps below:

  1. Go to the library homepage, library.fiu.edu
  2. On the library homepage, hover over the "Find" tab, then click "A-Z List".
  3. Select the first letter of the database you want to access using the tabs at the top of the page, then scroll down until you locate the database on the list. For CINAHL, first select the "C" tab, then scroll down and click on "CINAHL Plus with Full Text."
  4. Authenticate using your FIU credentials to access this resource.

Accessing CINAHL from the Nursing & Health Sciences LibGuides:

  1. Follow step 1 described above.
  2. Back on the library homepage, click the "Research: Start" square.
  3. Then click the "Subject Resources" tab at the top of the page.
  4. You will see a list of subjects, click either "Nursing" or "Health Sciences"
  5. Here, you have two options: (1) click on the "Databases" tab to open CINAHL from a list of health sciences databases or (2) click on "CINAHL Guide" to open CINAHL from a guide that contains instructions on how to use this database.

For more information on using CINAHL, contact Joana Fernandez, the Health Sciences Librarian.
