Help with logging in

We now have a dual login system for off-campus access to library resources. If you click on “Login for Access” you will be taken to a login page that will allow you to choose between an OpenAthens (OA) login or an EZ Proxy login.

How do I use the OA Login? (Open Athens)

If you choose the OA login, you can use your usual FIU username and password.

How do I use the EZ Proxy Login?

If you select the EZ Proxy option, you will need to use your 14-digit OneCard number as well as the 4-digit birthday code as a password (for example, if your birthdate is Feb. 13, your password would be 0213).

What if I'm using the A-Z List

If you are using the A-Z list, some resources may require an OA login while others might need you to use EZ Proxy. If you try your OA login and it doesn’t work, please try using the EZ Proxy method described above.

Don't have your 14-digit barcode?

Use the barcode generator to find your 14-digit library card number. You can also call circulation if you don't have the 14-digit number MMC: (305) 348-2451 BBC: (305) 919-5718.

Don't have a Onecard yet?

Visit the Onecard site for more info: https://onecard.fiu.edu/about/card-types/

Is there a workaround with VPN?

You can also authenticate with VPN as a workaround. Find more information on accessing FIU’s VPN at https://network.fiu.edu/vpn/.

Trying to use a database and keep getting an error message?

You may need to clear your history and cache. Find directions by browser on our Help Page.
