How can I get a laptop or a hotspot?

All laptops and hotspots are being distributed by College Application Systems Technology Innovation Center (CASTIC) in CASE.  According to CASTIC, 

  • Fill out the form at https://go.fiu.edu/laptop-covid19.
  • Item pickup is in PG-6 or laptops and hotspots can be shipped to students.  CASTIC will coordinate.
  • Each device box comes with a return label to ship the item back. There is no established due date. Students will be contacted with a due date.
  • Contact CASTIC at 305.348.2694 or via email at castic@fiu.edu with questions.

How can I return a laptop or hotspot?

​If you received the item from CASTIC, please contact them at 305.348.2694 or via email at castic@fiu.edu.

 

If you received the item from the library, please email diamondg@fiu.edu.

Are you a graduating student or not enrolled for the summer?

All library items must be returned and your library account must be cleared before the University will release your diploma. 

Are you enrolled for the summer?

Students enrolled in summer courses may keep laptops and other devices throughout the semester.

Can I mail items to the library?

If the item belongs to the library, it can be mailed to:

If the item belongs to CASTIC, use the return label provided.  If you misplaced the label, reach out to them at castic@fiu.edu.
