Computers in the Hub have Internet access, Microsoft Office Suite 2021 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SPSS, select CD-ROM databases, Macromedia software (Flash, Dreamweaver), Avid Pro Tools 11 multi-track audio recording and MIDI sequencing applications for both the Macs and PCs, and Apple Final Cut Pro X for the Macs.

Additionally, both MACs and Dells have the Respondus Lockdown Browser installed. Laptops may also be borrowed from the Device Checkout counter with the Lockdown Browser. Note that Dell laptops will automatically update the software while Macbooks require administrative support. We will gladly update it for you.


The Division of IT's Virtual Labs can also be accessed from the Hub computers. Launch a browser, go to elabs.fiu.edu, and log in using your FIU credentials to access the Virtual Computer Lab. As of Fall 2024, Hub computers are equipped as follows:
